Omitaa K9 knows communication is the most important component to having a well mannered, trusting dog who will bond with you for a lifetime. That is why we strive to help people and dogs find their common language.
"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen."
Omitaa K9 strives to inform and demonstrate the importance of communication in the human/dog relationship. Through the understanding of one another, we are able to achieve long lasting, loving bonds that garner healthy respect and obedience from our furry friends. Every owner, every dog, and every relationship is unique which is why we take the time to build programs specific to your training and behavioral needs and goals. At the end of the day, our goal is to enable all dog owners that come to Omitaa K9 to understand their dog, effectively communicate with their dog, and efficiently train their dog.

Hannah Davis, founder and owner of Omitaa K9, has shown a fascination with animal behavior and psychology her entire life. At a very young age, Hannah was introduced to the sporting dog world. She assisted in the training of English Pointers and Setters, eventually transitioning to competing herself. It was when her parents were given a litter of puppies that her adoration for training really took off.
Later in her life, she worked as a kennel technician for a veterinarian clinic. Hannah took this as an opportunity to learn more about animal care and nutrition. She also spent many hours observing canine social behavior through the clinic's daycare program.
When Hannah moved to Florence, she decided to make a big step towards her dreams of working with dogs. She started completing classes to advance her knowledge of dog behavior and psychology and went on to receive a career diploma in dog obedience training from Penn Foster College, certification as a Service Dog Trainer by Animal Behavioral College, as well as a tremendous amount of hands-on experience shadowing other trainers in the field.
As we all know, life cannot be all work and no play. Hannah and her husband have two dogs of their own: Baloo and Comrade. They spend their free time taking them on adventures down hiking tails, walking around the neighborhood, visiting local pet-friendly restaurants, or even just playing a good game of fetch in the yard.
Hannah is continuing to expand her knowledge on dog behavior, and will do so throughout her entire career. It is important that all trainers are working with the most up-to-date training methods that have been proven to be the most valuable and beneficial in developing our human/dog partnerships.
